Daily Routine
As the day progresses, the group stops for a riverside lunch, followed by an afternoon of adventure on the water. Campers navigate more challenging sections of the river, refining their paddling techniques and working as a team to steer through the wilderness. There’s time for reflection, photography, or exploring historical sites along the way. By late afternoon, the group selects a new campsite, setting up their tents and preparing for an evening of relaxation.
Evenings by the Yukon and Teslin Rivers bring a sense of calm after a full day of paddling. Campers share stories and a warm meal around the campfire, reflecting on the day’s discoveries and deepening their bond with one another. The group may engage in discussions about environmental change or Northern Indigenous cultures, learning from their surroundings. The fading light casts a golden hue over the landscape, offering a moment of quiet reflection before night falls.
Nights in the remote wilderness of the Yukon and Teslin Rivers are profoundly peaceful. After the campfire is extinguished, campers fall asleep to the gentle flow of the river and the sounds of nature. Stargazing under a sky untouched by city lights is a common night activity, offering a sense of wonder and connection to the vastness of the wilderness. The tranquility of the night ensures a restorative rest, readying everyone for the next leg of the expedition.
Workshops
In World Bound Canada, workshops explore Indigenous heritage, global citizenship, and climate change through hands-on activities. Participants learn to integrate climate change principles into real-world environments, practicing life skills like water treatment and recycling. Leadership training, team-building exercises, and community volunteering reinforce lessons on social responsibility and environmental stewardship. By experiencing the pristine beauty of the Yukon and Teslin Rivers, campers develop a deep connection to the natural world and gain tools to sustain climate action.
