About the Staff

Camp Europe assembles a dynamic and passionate team of young adults, primarily aged 19 and above, from diverse global backgrounds. Each summer, approximately 200 staff members are selected to serve as Camp Counselors, Language Coaches, Outdoor Education Specialists, High Ropes Course Instructors, Leadership Coordinators, and Camp Directors. These individuals undergo intensive training, including a one-week preparatory course and a two-week shadowing period, equipping them with skills to engage effectively with children and manage various camp activities. The team is committed to fostering personal growth, intercultural exchange, and creating memorable experiences for campers across Europe.

Profile

  • As a Language Coach at our Adventure Camp in Walsrode, Germany, you’ll have the unique opportunity to combine language coaching with an exciting camp counselor role.
  • The morning and afternoon sessions will focus on relaxed, dynamic, and fun language lessons, designed to improve campers’ English through interactive activities and games.
  • The rest of your day will be spent as a camp counselor, guiding outdoor adventures, facilitating team-building exercises, and creating memorable experiences for campers in a multicultural and supportive environment.

Who Can Apply

  • The English Language Coach role is perfect for individuals with a strong command of English and a passion for teaching. Applicants should have excellent communication skills, creativity in lesson planning, and an ability to connect with young learners from diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Age: 19
  • 29 years old by the program start date.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English speaker; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Experience: No prior experience is required, but experience in leadership or youth mentoring is preferred.
  • Training: Must participate in an intensive Camp Counselor training program (provided).
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment: Available for 4 to 12 weeks from mid-June through late August.
  • Adaptability: Enthusiastic about outdoor activities, adventure sports, and working in a multicultural environment.
