As a Spanish Language Coach, you will teach campers how to communicate effectively in Spanish through fun and interactive activities. Your role will involve creating lessons that focus on language development while also promoting cultural understanding. Placement Overview

As a Spanish Language Coach, you’ll create a lively and interactive atmosphere for campers to learn Spanish. Through activities like role-playing, outdoor games, and cultural workshops, you'll help them build confidence and language skills naturally. You'll also lead team-building exercises, encourage cultural exchange, and support group activities, ensuring every camper has a meaningful and memorable experience. Plus, you’ll earn a certification and valuable teaching experience for your career.

About the Staff

Camp Europe assembles a dynamic and passionate team of young adults, primarily aged 19 and above, from diverse global backgrounds. Each summer, approximately 200 staff members are selected to serve as Camp Counselors, Language Coaches, Outdoor Education Specialists, High Ropes Course Instructors, Leadership Coordinators, and Camp Directors. These individuals undergo intensive training, including a one-week preparatory course and a two-week shadowing period, equipping them with skills to engage effectively with children and manage various camp activities. The team is committed to fostering personal growth, intercultural exchange, and creating memorable experiences for campers across Europe.

Who Can Apply

  • The Spanish Language Coach role is ideal for individuals fluent in Spanish and with a passion for teaching language skills. Applicants should be enthusiastic, patient, and able to design creative and effective lessons that cater to different learning styles.

Requirements

  • Age: 19+ by the program start date.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English speaker; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Experience: No prior experience is required, but experience in leadership or youth mentoring is preferred.
  • Training: Must participate in an intensive Camp Counselor training program (provided).
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities.
  • Commitment: Available for 4 to 12 weeks from mid-June through late August.
  • Adaptability: Enthusiastic about outdoor activities, adventure sports, and working in a multicultural environment.
